Román García Fernández, first guided by Hera and Athena, and then by the two Aphrodites —the carnal and the spiritual: Aphrodite Pandemos and Aphrodite Uranus— completes his history of ancient philosophy.
First came The Birth of Hera: On the Origins of Philosophy (2012), then The Triumph of Athena: Classical Greek Philosophy (2013), and finally, in two subsequent volumes, The Murder of Aphrodite Pandemos: The Socratic Schools (2018) and The Murder of Aphrodite Uranus: The Hellenistic Schools, Roman Philosophy, and the Beginnings of Christianity (2024).
