Abstract
The text «The Pending Revolution» by Pelayo Pérez García, is an unpublished document, likely written in 2017 for the Utopia and Revolution lecture series organized by the Asturian Philosophy Society (SAF), in collaboration with the Mieres City Council and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Salamanca (Mieres, 2018).
This article revolves around the crisis of the human in the face of the advance of technological capitalism and dehumanization, articulating a phenomenological and existential critique of the displacement of the sacred and singular in the human being by symbolic and technical logics. The author places the revolutionary alternative in the recovery of a full and carnal human dimension that is not reduced to mere calculation, proposing a revolution that restores prominence to the human in its mystery, sameness, and power to transform the world.
«The Pending Revolution» has been recovered and revised for this edition by Luis Álvarez Falcón.
