Abstract
This extraordinary monographic issue of Eikasía, Philosophy Journal, pays tribute to Pelayo Pérez García for his multifaceted intellectual and human legacy within contemporary Hispanic philosophy, highlighting his trajectory as director and cofounder of the publication since 2005, as well as his passage from literature and poetry to philosophy under the influence of Gustavo Bueno. The volume emphasizes his key role in the Asturian Philosophy Society and his international work in disseminating phenomenological and materialist thought, through collaborations and seminars held in multiple European and Latin American countries. It underlines his leadership in transcultural philosophical networks, the linguistic openness of Eikasía, and his involvement with institutions such as the Universities of Oviedo, Zaragoza, and Coimbra. Pelayo’s work transcended borders and disciplines through translations, special issues, and debates, strengthening intercultural dialogue and international philosophical training. This number includes contributions from national and international colleagues, unpublished translations, and a systematized bibliography that allows for deeper engagement with the plurality, relevance, and interdisciplinarity of Pelayo Pérez García’s thought.
