Abstract
Kantian philosophy genuinely marked a decisive epochal shift that materialized in mature modernity: the transition from traditional theocentrism to anthropocentrism. This redefined the place and role of the human being ¾here, who attains the status of subject (foundation)¾ and, with it, the meaning of reason. Already in the 21st century, we, as heirs to Kant's achievements, must grapple with new problems that compel us to rethink what Kant conceived, circling the profound enigmas left unresolved by his masterful investigation, which still spur and guide us in the pursuits of philosophy.
