Abstract

These pages are intended to take as their starting point human experiences as common as speaking, reading and writing, and to explore the not just enigmatic but extraordinary side of our condition. These same experiences act as events, as movements that, in their relationship to the world, reveal an astonishing dimension that cannot be reduced to naturalistic mechanisms. The nakedness of the spoken word is sought here against the backdrop of operative thought.
