Abstract
The problem regarding the authenticity of Plato's work is established and the criterion that the controversy is meaningless is chosen, since its interest resides in the fact that they have been known throughout the history of philosophy as such and that In any case, if they were not written by Plato, they were written by his disciples, a question that is sufficient at a time when the idea of authorship does not exist so clearly.
There is a tour of the methods used to order the dialogues and a review of the most important classifications. Finally, a method is proposed in two directions: one considered more philological, consisting of establishing the works were known at each historical moment and another, more philosophical, is to establish a theoretical framework that reorganizes the dialogues assuming that there must be an internal logic between them. some dialogues and others, which is a test for the interpretative theory of Plato that is proposed.
