Abstract
This essay deals with the anthropological connection between two different realities, namely: death and the person. While the first term corresponds to the termination of biological life, the second concept is capable of transcending such an organic process so that, having passed away[1] inchoatively, it continues to live, but through a new relationship of meaning. Therefore, the person must commit to an authentic way of life that manages to reject its alienation or loss with respect to itself. Thus, personal immortality is the only way through which the human being can survive in a quasi-eternal period of time.
