Abstract
We report the recent publication of a new edition of the work of the Boeotian poet (all data relating to the first mythographers are always problematic and Hesiod is no exception), which is in itself very good news. We remember that Hesiod represents a conceptual change with respect to the ideological structure of Homer and is, riding on the new technology of writing, a poet for times of crisis. A mythological systematizer in times of social reconstruction.
