Abstract
Plato's letters are made following his own method and are the oldest testimony to which we can refer for his biography. In addition, they inaugurate said method whose structure will be copied and used until today. It is not an exaggeration to consider that Plato draws up the first biography in history whose formula has endured and that we have deciphered in letter VII.
