Abstract

We submit a spanish translation of Marc Richir’s article «Du rôle de la phantasia au théâtre et dans le roman», published in Littérature, n.º 132 in december 2003. This article begins by pointing out the phenomenological difference between phantasia and imagination according to Husserl. Moreover, Richir sketches the concept of «perceptive» phantasia, in its difference both with perception and imagination. The «perceptive» phantasia allows Richir to carry out a phenomenological analysis of theatre and its paradoxes, as a necessary previous step to the investigation of what indeed takes place in the very phenomenological experience of writing and reading a novel.
