Abstract
The purpose of the following paper is to understand the concept of drive in Fichte. We will analyze on one hand the genesis of the drive within the frame of the The System of
Ethics of 1798. According to that intention, it will also be important to define some fundamental terms rooted in the co-‐‑determination between will and action. On the other hand, we’ll refer ourselves to an interpretation of the drive that takes place in the phenomenology of Henri Maldiney. According to that, our intention consists in examining, the extent of Maldiney’s analysis regarding the sense of the drive. Nevertheless, such sense is to be unveiled within a specific awakening to the self-‐‑activity, where the call of the
