Abstract

Duality’s principle, so important in Mathematics, is more significant even in the Phenomenological Philosophy. Phenomenology has not only the great duality: Intentionality / Eidetics, but also the intentional field is dual: phantasíai / objectivity, aesthetic intuition /categorical intuition… And as well in the eidetics: physical eidos / mathematical eidos. Probably Husserl make a stand against this principle because he “strengthened” eidetically the intentionality (phenomenology has scientific nature) and he “softened” intentionally the eidetics (the eidetic variation is grounded in the imagination). The beginning of this question is probably the process of “arithmeticiation” that gave way to the discovery of the “intentionality”.
