Abstract
The idea of emancipation seems to have lost a part of the strength it had since the age of Enlightenment. It isn’t to be counted among the central ideas of political thought anymore. The present article attempts to inquire into the reasons that have force to review this notion and it wonders in what sense can we still talk about emancipation. Finally, it will be discussed if the idea of resistance can come to substitute emancipation in contemporary political theory.
