Abstract
With these words I want to remember my friend Pelayo with whom I practiced the activity of philosophizing, if philosophy is not about placing oneself above the World and settling into the Idea that dominates it, but about thinking in the midst of the polis, the republic, the citizens; thinking through others; thinking together with you (ζητύ κοινῇ μεδ’ὑμῶν). Together with Pelayo, through eros, through friendship, I was able to address that enigma that always eludes us: the excessive being of the human being and try to answer the question that he knew how to formalize with acuity: «What is excess, excess of?».
