Abstract

The author offers a brief introduction, highlighting how he met Pelayo Pérez, emphasizing the influence of Gustavo Bueno on his literary shift toward philosophical materialism, later focusing on the work of Richir's non-standard phenomenology and the phenomenological materialism of Ricardo Sánchez Ortiz de Urbina. We highlight one of Pelayo Pérez's best articles, «Gustavo Bueno versus Marc Richir» which highlights the essential differences between Bueno's eidetics and Richir's phenomenologism. The author also discusses Pelayo Pérez's intellectual influence on the author of this article, as well as the void his death leaves among those who shared his common philosophical interests and, above all, his great friendship.
