Abstract
Starting from the thesis of the Catholic theologian and philosopher Karl Rahner, in contrast to the theses of the Protestant theologian Luther, the author analyzes the confluence of these two directions: Lutheran theologians are moving closer to Catholic positions, and Karl Rahner breaks with the traditional positions of the Catholic Church.
The author understands that in a more or less distant future, this confluence will become a reality, and a new and united Church will entail a truly Catholic and truly universal religion, thus crossing the Kafka-like boundary that, with its strange guardians, prevented access to absolute transcendence.
