Abstract
David Hume ha sido normalmente interpretado como defendiendo una concepción regularista de la causalidad. En este texto, propongo una interpretación no‐regularista de la causalidad humeana. Una primera ventaja de esta interpretación sobre la interpretación estándar es que logra explicar la crucial distinción entre leyes causales genuinas y meras generalizaciones accidentales. Otra ventaja de la interpretación propuesta aquí es que muestra más claramente que la anterior el conflicto del empirismo de Hume con la teoría de la representación heredada de Locke.
