Résumé
Este breve artículo presenta la introducción y bosquejo de ideas fundamentales desarrolladas extensamente en el libro del mismo título en inglés, que ofrece un punto de vista desafiante sobre la ciencia y su historia/filosofía/sociología. La ciencia está en decadencia. Tras siglos de grandes logros, el agotamiento de nuevas formas y la fatiga han alcanzado a nuestra cultura en todas sus manifestaciones incluyendo a las ciencias puras. Nuestra sociedad está saturada de conocimientos que no ofrecen a la gente ningún sentido para sus vidas. Se pierden los ideales de búsqueda de grandes verdades y se tiende cada vez más a una anodina industria especializada.
