Abstract
We maintain here that Luis Villoro's initial approach to existentialist philosophy in some way marked his later career and the essence of his philosophical perspective. Certainly, as we will point out, Villoro sought on the one hand, to adapt existentialism to Mexican reality and, on the other, to contrast (throughout his life) his initial vision with the most diverse philosophical problems and positions (phenomenology, analytical philosophy, Marxism) to arrive at what we can call a rationally justified and communally realized existential philosophy.
