Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio: America and the universal history

Abstract

In this paper I summarize «These wrong and cursed Indians» of Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio. His main idea is that the conquerors discourse, and even until now many historians, legitimized the conquest of America in the name of Religion, Civilization or Progress; so the «Indian Nations» pain would be justified by their incorporation into Universal History. After that I explain the comments of Juan Antonio Ruescas Juárez, María del Mar Ramírez Alvarado and Francisco Castilla Urbano about this work. Last I conclude with my personal comments about this text of Ferlosio.
