Abstract
This paper contains the theory about the perception in Theophrastus De sensibus and in Lucretius De Rerum Natura. Theophrastus makes an exposition of the opinions of Empedocles, Clidemus, Diogenes of Apolonia, Democritus, Anaxagoras and Plato; but he also makes a criticism of their opinions. On the other hand Lucretius’ poem explains in his fourth book his theory of simulacra (D. R. N., 1V, S0360), dealing with percepcion, but especially with vision, and the problem of knowledge too.
