Abstract

Reasoning and problem-‐‑solving begins, nowadays, to be more thoroughly studied, in the case of brain-‐‑damaged patients, like craniocerebral trauma or stroke. This study ́s main purpose is to show how logical functions can be altered in case of craniocerebral trauma. The case of a 46 years-‐‑old male, affected by this pathology, is presented. The neuropsychological assessment included reasoning and problem-‐‑solving tasks. Results show that this patient ́s performance is affected at some logical functions tasks, when compared with a 10 control subjects sample. Relevance of these results for the elaboration of certain hypotheses concerning logical functions ́location at the human brain, is discussed.
