Abstract
This paper aims to identify those parts of the Phenomenology of Spirit in which Hegel transforms the modern concept of identity and opens it to the time, to the development, and to the process, giving way to identification as a new basis for the identity phenomenon. By the fact mentioned, it has been noted many times that Hegel is at the root of Freud, but rarely has been done a close reading of certain passages and terms of the Phenomenology as formulations of the phenomenon of identification. The identification appears so, among other things, as a leaving-‐‑behind the modernity idea of protected Subject and a taking-‐‑difference, otherness, as the only way for Selbst advancement.
