Notes about the new Spanish philosophy towards a phenomenology of the cinema images.: hacia una fenomenología de las imágenes del cine.

Abstract

Within the Spanish Society of Phenomenology several works can be applied to the development of a purely Spanish thought about cinema. This article selects some of them, from the old as well as from the new generation of the Spanish Society of Phenomenology. It starts with the thoughts of professor Mª Carmen López Sáenz, current president of the Society, on the ontology of Merleau-Ponty aesthetics. It further takes into consideration the contribution of professor César Moreno Márquez, its former president, on avant-garde art and it finishes with the proposals of the new generation applying them to the cinema. Among them, the proposal by Roberto Menéndez stands out as a Phenomenology of Film Experience or the one proposed by the current author, exploring film corporeity as an expression of sensitivity.
