How to Cite
Abstract
What is the role of silence in the representation of war? To what extent silence constitutes an expressive resource which is implicated not only in the discourse but also in the form, thereby increasing the possibilities of representation in art? The present paper tries to outline an answer for these questions in order to show that silence can reach far further than the limits commonly associated with it. It therefore plays an extremely important role at sociopolitical and cultural levels.
