Abstract

Ecopedagogy in the Waldorf schools of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) aimed to build that deep link between Man and Nature, first, through

the mythical-religious emotion, with participation in all its manifestations, and by providing the

narrations with the artistic, descriptive and musical

forms and, both by developing the practical

conscience of the micro-macro relationship of the

Cosmos, already from the seventh year, to the full

development of co-responsibility and active

citizenship. The School of Spiritual Science of

Rudolf Steiner above all for the high standards of

spatial, temporal, social and conceptual

systematization and ritualization of the best

educational and didactic practices, allowed to

follow the metaphysical formulation of five

meditation on Nature: the Moon, the seven units

size or the seven planetary qualities, the Ether or

the speed of Light in relation to Matter, Gravity as a

manifestation of the Etheric Body and radioactive

decay as a primordial phenomenon. In this way,

through a correct and authentic scientific

observation, it is possible to make the connections

of Man with the cosmic conditions, the terrestrial

dimensions and the animal world, precisely in the

art of pedagogy, from the body element to the soul

and the spiritual ones, always following the study

of the evolution of the Earth: "If you want to know

yourself, look in the world from every side. If you

want to know the world, look deeply into yourself".
