Abstract
The project of the emancipation of knowledge is linked in the present to some theories around the decolonization of science, whose most important representant is Boaventura de Sousa Santos. However, the emancipation of knowledge from this perspective has problems that Boaventura’s theory can’t overcome because of his use of political cathegories when he should use epistemological cathegories. The thesis of this article is that the project of emancipation of knowledge needs a criteria to distinguish knowledge and pseudoknowledge that Sousa doesn’t give, but wich is starting to be constructed in books like Philosophy of pseudoscience.
