Marc Richir y la legitimidad de las democracias representativas

Abstract

Marc Richir’s Politique Du Sublime apprehends an important reality inherent to any political system: the necessity, in order to assure its legitimacy, that there will be no only mechanisms of incorporation (“incorporation”) but also embodiment (“encarnation”) dynamics in a sufficient measure for understanding the existence of a real identity between sovereign and ruler. This paper tries to analyze the current crisis of the modern Western representative democracy using this distinction highlighted by Richir in order to extract a series of consequences related to various contexts of the current democratic crisis.
