Kairos as the origin of the historical discipline

Abstract

History, as a scientific discipline, deals with the memory and memory is always about last. Analyzing the three conceptions of time in Greece we give an account for the origin of the discipline. We’ll argue that this origin is the kairos time which other disciplines arise, now less scientific, as the rhetoric or ethics. Aion and Chronos are presented as totalizing visions in both its eternal return as its infinite advance, which at its intersection result in the appropriate time arises the History.
