Abstract
The complex narrative structure of Platoʹs Parmenides is an aspect that should not be neglected by a not naive interpretation. This paper presents a way of understanding this structure that thinks it as a coordinate axis that ʺsetʺ hermeneutically the later philosophical conversation. Based on this hypothesis the paper outlines an interpretation of the dialogue centered on the youthful figure of Socrates.
