Logics of the event: Alain Badiou as a thinker of the crisis of marxism

Abstract

This article aims to address the problem of the crisis of marxism in the work of Alain Badiou. Since, we believe that this is closely linked to the becoming’s of the Marxist tradition and to the theorisation of their crisis. In this way, the bet theoretical-political of Badiou empowers us to re-discuss key categories of marxist thought, such as class, structure, politics, the State, History, among others, in a context where the crisis of marxism and the transformation of capitalism opens up new possibilities for the philosophical and political contemporary thought to re-create their concepts.
