Abstract
This article aimstoraise the possibility of a philosophy made by Basques in the period between the endof the 19th century and thepresent. Forthis he studies the group formed by: Miguel de Unamuno, Pío Baroja, Juan Zaragüeta, Xavier Zubiri, José Luis López Aranguren, Carlos Paris, Ignacio Ellacuría, Javier Muguerza, Javier Sádaba, Jesús Mosterín, Fernando Savater, Javier Echeverría and José María Ripalda.. It tries to establish those common traits that it considers could distinguish them as a singular group with in the whole of contemporary Spanish philosophy.
