Abstract

During the last ten years the philosophy magazine Eikasía has resisted, tirelessly. He began with modesty, using a sober title: the last of the segments (tmêmata) that Plato distinguishes in the Politéia, where he recommends: «tô teleutáiô eikasyan» (511e), that is, applying, to the last segment, the fourth and lower mode of experience (páthema). The Eikasía magazine advocates philosophical experience starting from the levels of the lower scale, very far from the infinite potential of eidetics and its forceful cannon shots. But it will be in issue 18 when our magazine «manifests» its intentions: to parameterize the Ideas provided by human activity, politics, science, classical and non-linear, relativistic, chaotic or quantum systems... on the scale of corporeal human rationality. That is, the proposal of a humanism that «opts for the fertility of reason, for its unfinished task», at the confluence of the legislation of reason (mundane philosophy) and the art of reason (academic philosophy), humanism of a natural, but not naturalistic, humanity, the humanism of a community of singulars that, being capable of addressing the most abstract eidetic questions, does not itself have an eidetic conformation.
