Abstract

This paper situates the difference between

transcendental phenomenology and

hermeneutics of facticity in the light of the

problem of occasional expressions. We then

restore a (virtual) discussion between Husserl

and Heidegger on this topic. Dealing with the

early heideggerian theory of expression and

meaning leads us to his understanding of the

correlation's a priori. We will then, in contrast,

display an understanding of the correlation's a

priori proper to transcendental

phenomenology. A difference will thus arise in

the very way the philosophical subject (by

Husserl and by Heidegger) interleaves within

the phenomenological fact of the correlation's

a priori. The difference concerning these two

ways of interleaving depicts the key of such a

confrontation as an architectonical one.
